SkinTalks - August 21, 2026

If you haven't tried toner pads yet, you're missing out! These pre-soaked pads deliver the benefits of your favorite toner with a gentle exfoliating or brightening boost, all with zero fuss.

Korean toner pads are a beauty phenomenon for good reason: they're quick, satisfying, and can even double as mini masks. Here are seven of the best on our shelves, Glowies, plus tips on how and when to use them.

What are toner pads?

Toner pads (also known as face pads) are soft, pre-soaked cotton or gel pads drenched in toner essence. Think of them as your toner and applicator rolled into one. Born in Korea, they've become one of K-beauty's most-loved shortcuts because they make toning quicker, more precise, and honestly, a lot more fun.

Most toner pads have two textures: an embossed side that gently exfoliates and lifts away dead skin cells, and a smooth side that presses the hydrating essence into your skin. Many can also be left on the skin for a few minutes as a targeted mini mask!

The 7 best toner pads

There's a perfect pad for every skin concern, and we've rounded up our seven favorites for different skin types here. Whether you're battling pores, dark spots, or dullness, one of these seven is about to become your holy grail.

1. The best toner pad for pores

The viral one! This one has earned its cult status. Natural AHA and BHA sweep away dead skin cells, dirt, and excess sebum, while the dual-texture pads polish skin smooth. Clinically proven to reduce the look of pores and surprisingly gentle, the Medicube toner pad is a must if enlarged pores or oiliness are your main concern.

Why we love it: The two-sided pad gives you the best of both worlds. Use the textured side to gently exfoliate and the softer side to finish with a smooth, polished feel.

These ones have earned a well-deserved loyal following. They pair 5% niacinamide with tranexamic acid, a dream duo for visibly brightening dullness and evening out skin tone. If your complexion is looking a little tired or patchy, these will be your best friend.

Why we love it: It's a simple way to target multiple signs of uneven tone in one step, without adding another serum to your routine. With regular use, skin looks brighter, more even, and refreshed.

3. The best toner pad for instant glow

Your "before a big event" secret weapon. These are soaked in a vitamin and niacinamide essence that smooths texture and delivers that lit-from-within radiance K-beauty is famous for. Swipe one on before makeup and watch it glide over your skin like a dream. These pads are proof that glass skin really can come from a jar.

Why we love it: They're perfect when you want your skin to look instantly fresher and more vibrant. Use them as a quick prep step before makeup for a smoother, glowier-looking base.

Biodance toner pads are gentle enough for sensitive skin and perfect if your goals are bouncy, youthful-looking skin.

Why we love it: These pads combine firming and hydration in one fuss-free step, making them ideal when skin is feeling dry, tight, or a little dull. They're also a great pick for a quick dose of self-care.

5. The best toner pad for dark spots

Tackle dark spots, acne marks, and enlarged pores in one swipe. A powerhouse trio of niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and patented Melazero V2 fades hyperpigmentation, while gentle AHA, BHA, and PHA from papaya and apple extracts refine texture. These pads include eight types of hyaluronic acid to keep you super hydrated!

Why we love it: If you're dealing with more than one skin concern, this is a multitasking wonder. It targets the appearance of pigmentation and pores while keeping skin feeling hydrated and smooth.

6. The best toner pad for blemish-prone skin

Celimax earns two spots on this list. They're just that good at creating pads worth the extra mention! These specifically blend BHA, PHA, and LHA to gently exfoliate and rebalance sebum, while centella and a seven-plant complex calm active breakouts. This acne-safe toner is kind to sensitive skin, too.

Why we love it: Strike a nice balance between exfoliating blemish-prone skin and keep it feeling calm and comfortable. These are a great option when you want to keep congestion under control without going overboard on actives.

7. The best toner pad for brightening

Your daily dose of vitamin C. Enriched with a Vita C complex plus Kakadu plum and citrus extracts, these generously sized jelly pads exfoliate, hydrate, and brighten in one step.

Why we love it: The generous jelly pads make brightening feel more like a mini treatment. Leave one on for a minute when you need an extra boost of hydration and glow, then simply pat in the remaining essence.

FAQs

How do you use toner pads?

After cleansing, take one pad and gently swipe the embossed (textured) side over your face, moving from the center outwards and avoiding the eye area. Flip to the smooth side for a final sweep, then pat the leftover essence into your skin. Most pads can also be placed flat on areas that need extra love such as the cheeks, forehead, T-zone for 3-5 minutes as a mini mask. Follow with your serum and moisturizer as usual.

Should I use toner pads in the morning or night?

Either or both! Hydrating and brightening face pads (like the Biodance or Numbuzin) are lovely in the morning and evening. If your pads contain exfoliating acids like AHA or BHA (hello, Medicube and Celimax), we'd suggest starting with evenings only a few times a week, then building up as your skin adjusts. And always wear your SPF the morning after using acids, Glowies as exfoliated skin is extra sun-sensitive.
